In the blog traffic series, today I am going to tell you how to optimize images for high search engines ranking or you can simply call it SEO of images. Usually bloggers to not pay much attention to SEO of images, but it is must to understand the concept of images SEO so as to drive a good traffic from it. Lets start :
SEO of images : Introduction
1. Image name : Before uploading any image,give it a suitable name as it will help search engines to identify what your image is all about.
2. ALT tag : To give a detailed information about your image we use ALT tag. You can give a single keyword or a complete sentence. For ex.
<img src=”image-link-here” alt=“seo of images” width=”100″ height=”100″/>
3. Text around images : To know more about your images, search engines usually give preference to the text surrounding it. So, the position of the image is really important.
