The 50 Bloggers opinion series is doing great and in my today’s article I am going to share what other 50 bloggers said when I asked them to compare their blog theme with other 5 blogs in their niche and also asked them if they are satisfied with their current blog theme or not? And below is the result:

- I was amazed to read the replies that 74% (37 votes) bloggers said that they are not satisfied their current blog theme and
- Only 26% (13) bloggers that they are satisfied with their blog theme and their theme rocks
Three common reasons bloggers gave me “why they do are not satisfied with their blog design”
High page loading speed : Mostly bloggers came up with the point that their page loading speed is too high as compared to other blogs, Pradeep Prabhu told me that “the main thing now I need to concentrate about my blog is to reduce my home page size in terms of kb’s, since this effects the site loading speed”.
Using a free theme : Most of the bloggers are not satisfied with their blog theme because they are using a free theme, they see their theme on most of the blogs they visit and this is the reason they hate about their blog design.
Theme is not Search Engine Optimized : And the third most common reply was that the bloggers think that their blog is not Search Engine Optimized.
Solution to the three common problems
Decrease page loading speed : Follow the two tutorials below that will help you to decrease the page loading speed of your blog.
List of my all time favorite WordPress themes : If you use a free theme and want to switch to another theme, wait for a second a have a look at the list of my all time favorite WordPress themes. I am sure you will love my theme collection, and do check out my designed WordPress theme also.
WordPress SEO : If you think that your blog theme is not search engine optimized, follow my complete tutorial on WordPress SEO.
Closing words
Use a simple minimal theme with a white background : I always say to use a simple minimal theme with 2 or 3 column. It looks neat and attractive.
Give preference to the content & not to the theme : After you’ve selected a theme and applied on your blog, do not worry too much about your blog design rather work on writing high quality content.
If you’ve high quality articles, no one is going to look at your blog theme. Content comes first and then the blog design.
Human nature : It is a human nature that we are not satisfied with what we have. If you will give a very high priority to your blog theme, I am 100% sure that you will be never satisfied with your blog design.
Just keep your theme as simple as possible and try to write on high quality articles and thanks to all my fellow bloggers who participated in this question and answer series. I’ll release the list of my 50 bloggers soon, so keep connected. If you want to be in our bloggers list, drop me an email at gagan.exe[at]gmail[dot]com

You Did a Good Work Gagan!! I Agree with Pradeep Prabhu. Since Google Consider Loading Speed for PR Calculation, it is necessary to work on that. I think this Last Week that i am Worrying about my theme, Bought Thesis and Customizing it, Because its a one time investment.. Simple and Perfect Design Always Stands Good!
This is very nice idea. I liked it.
Nice post, sorry to not give my opinion due to exams.
Many blogger is using free theme which is not search engine friend as well as not good in page loading speed. One more reasons of increasing page speed is due to use of Slider and JQuery heavily in theme which take time to load.
I’m using Elegant Theme and it’s best wordpress theme provider in the world.
No problem Razzil, there are a lot more chances to come in future !
Right said Gagan, we will be never satisfied with our blog themes….
Thats why I keep on changing widgets, header part and sometimes fonts ….
If you have some time Take a look at my blogger theme, worked hard on this template… #Lol
Very nice article, you are putting a lot of effort in blogging and helping people out.
Great post Gagan! I used a lot of free theme in my 4 years as blogger, but they are no better than a premium theme. Currently I’m using both Thesis theme and Frugal theme, because they are search engine friend as good in page loading speed as a great support as well. Particularly I like Frugal because allows me to have a lot of space to fill with advertising.
Good one again.. One more thing I would like to add is, getting a theme that suits all your needs is too difficult, for example, I wanted one that has drop-down menu at the top for both pages and categories and one that is ad-sense ready and also SEO efficient. But hardly there are themes that provide all these, even if they do they will have large loading speed or some other problem, so we always have to do some trade-off between speed and SEO, or many such things.
Thanks for share this
