In the Blog Traffic Series, today I am going to tell you how to drive traffic to your blog by giving your readers a personal approach. This may look a very basic task but it really works. It is known factor that readers love interaction and if you give a personal approach, your one time visitor can also turn into your daily visitor or even subscriber. I’ll explain about this in detail, lets start :
The Trick
When somebody comments on your blog post, copy the email id and send him/her a thanking mail message. Though you can do this automatically with the help of a plugin but it might look spammy and moreover personal email will create a good impact on the reader. Sending a personal message is a great way to engage with your readers. There are few things you should consider while writing the mail :
- You mail should include commentators name
- You mail should include the post URL on which he/she commented
- Thanks them nicely and ask them to share their views on other posts also
- Tell them to subscribe to your blog feeds for future updates
What will happen
As told before, as the reader will get your email, it will definitely bookmark your blog for future visits. In this way after a period of time you will build a network of loyal readers. This is what we want
