In the blog traffic series, this is the seventh post and today I am going to tell you how you can drive traffic to your blog by doing something creative (C-factor). I’ll tell you about what to do and how to do later in this article but before I feel a great a need to tell my readers why to do something creative. Lets start :

Need
I usually ask my readers one question that “Why should I visit your blog ? Whats special in it ? You can only answer this question if your blog has something creative and unique in it. Why should I visit your blog if it is giving me the same information that is given by ten other blogs. Here you feel the need of C-factor. Almost every successful blog on web has this C-factor, then why shouldn’t you have it in your blog. Lets move further.
What to do
I told you about C-factor, now the question arises what should I do to create this C-factor. Below are some methods that you can opt and do something creative to get huge traffic to your blog :
Write eBooks
If you have deep knowledge about your blog niche then I recommend you to write an eBook and publish it on your blog. If you want, you can give it for free or can sell it and earn some bucks out from it, that depends upon you but the bottom line is, the best known method to have a C-factor and drive traffic to your blog is by writing eBooks.
This will help you look more professional in your field. If the content of the eBook is good, go to some popular blogs in your niche and ask them to review it on their blog.I am sure this will boost up the traffic of your blog.
Podcast
If you do not have enough time to write an eBook, there is another method that is time saving and as much powerful as the above one and that is audio podcasts.
- Select a famous topic in your niche and give your views on it.
- Take interviews of other bloggers in your niche
- Give reviews on latest news
- Share it on popular podcast directories like PodFeed
Video tutorials
Apart from podcasts, you can also have a C-factor by creating useful videos and sharing it on sites like YouTube, Facebook etc. Not all the bloggers do this, so start your own Video Channel and I am sure you will get huge traffic.
Do something creative in your niche
If you are not satisfied with my three points told above, what you can do is, do something creative in your niche. For example: I design WordPress themes and publish it on my blog, I submit these themes to other sites and in return I get traffic and backlinks. This is my C-factor. If your niche is different, do something creative stuff and share it with your readers. I am sure your readers will enjoy it because they’ve never seen it before.
How to do
Now comes the last part of my today’s article and that is how to do all the stuff mentioned above. I’ll explain it one by one :
Ebooks
If you’re interested in writing eBooks, first read online tutorials on how to write an eBook and then start your work. Refer to this article where Jai is telling about how to write an eBook.
Podcasts
If you want to start podcasts, Yaro has written a great article on How to conduct a quality podcast interview. I am sure you will learn many new things from it. Do read it.
Video tutorials
If your speaking skills in English are poor and you’re very keen to make video tutorials I recommend you to use any Text-To-Speech software that will help you a lot in creating video tutorials.
Help creating C-factor and your traffic graph will go up and up and up. Good luck.
